No, I'm not dead. I've just been insanely busy with school and enormously unproductive when it comes to Frolloish things.

As for your updates. . . I edited Chapter 13 of PennyForTheGuy's Down to Earth fic. Apparently I missed an entire chunk of it. *slaps self upside the head* I also added a couple more Macros, and some kind soul donated a few things to the "I'd Pay To See..." list. Also fixed some broken links and spelling errors. But what I really wanted to tell you guys is. . .

Truthfully, when it comes to HoND/Frollo, I'm not feeling the love. Haven't been for a month or so now. I've come to the conclusion that my obsessions are a lot like being in love. To badly paraphrase Louis de Bernières, when you first fall in love, it's like a temporary madness. It's an earthquake. It's breathlessness, excitement. It's dancing around like a madlady and all of that ridiculous shit. And it sustains you for a time, but when it burns out, the planet dies, and you are left with. . . what? Not sure, really. As an artist, I'm used to the whole waxing/waning enthusiasm thing. The muse can be a persnickety bitch, what inspires her one day she may very well loathe the next. I'm okay with that.

Long story short, I have fallen out of love with this obsession. Oh, don't get me wrong, Notre-Dame de Paris will always remain one of my favorite novels and The Hunchback of Notre Dame will always be a favorite Disney film of mine. I just have to leave Frollo alone before I begin to really resent him. I can't even listen to Hellfire right now without it grating on my nerves. . . that tells me it's time to step back. Now don't start crying or anything -- this website will remain as is. I'll even update it from time to time, if I so fancy. The Forum will also remain open, and the YouTube videos will hang out exactly where I've left them.

Fall semester has started once again! I will try to work on updates whenever I get a spare moment, but don't expect them to be all that big.

For today, we have: Two new collab fics, one by OurLadyeofParis and PennyForTheGuy and another by Siobahn and Divine Muse. Both are tantalizingly sexy. Also uploaded seven new pics to the Galleries > Other Faces of Frollo.

A small update, bu an update nonetheless. Added two new albums to the Galleries > Other Faces of Frollo, and a new picture in Other Faces of Frollo > Artworks. Also updated the Fiction secion a bit. Posted three more chapters to "Down to Earth" by Penny For The Guy, and posted the rest of Belladonna's story, "Resignation". Belladonna also has a completely new story (Clopin-centric but still good), entitled "The Whim of Fate".

Well, burn my ass and call me Esme! I've finally found the time to substantially update. I've been puttering around, fixing broken links and and making minor visual adjustments, but this evening I glued my ass to the couch, turned on some sweet tunes, and worked like a madwoman. Here is my progress:

• 10 new images in the Galleries. 8 are of Disney Frollo, and 1 is of Book Frollo. All are delightful.

• A new author, Belladonna (no, not that Belladonna), has a story posted in the Fiction section.

• More macros have been posted, by myself and our newest contributor, Sorgan.

• In the Words section, I have finished compiling over 50 reviews of Disney HoND, and wrote some smartass comments about each.

• And finally we have the Random page, which received the most attention out of all. Under the "Stuff" category, I have added the "So You Want to Draw Frollo?" tutorial and my version of Frollo's complete alphabet. I also realized with the last version of the Pit that "Creators" wasn't terribly popular, so I've trimmed it down considerably. Got a large chunk of it done, but you'll have to wait on Kathy Zielinski's and Tony Jay's pages. They will take MAS time.

Well, hello there, lovlies! Didst thou miss me? Welcome to The Fiery Pit's new home, hosted by DreamHost.com. Better than Geocities, non? Frollo sure is happy about it:

 

 

Okay, enough jokes. Eventually this box will be home to site-related news and most recent updates, but since this whole gosh-darn site is an update right now, I have nothing to fill this space up with but my inane chatter. Isn't that nice?

Currently, all sections of the site are finished except for Random and Words. I *hope* to have them built back up by the end of the summer. But I must warn you – I work full-time and still try to have a life, and that (believe it or not) comes before my Frollophilic status. So this construction is going to go at my own pace. If you have a problem with that . . . CRY ABOUT IT.
